Precast concrete I beams and hollow-core slabs are being used in the construction of a 100ML reservoir at Contermanskloof, Cape Town. Manufactured by CMA member, Cape Concrete, the precast elements are being used for the construction of the structure’s 14 500m² roof.

A total 1 170m2 of hollowcore slabs were installed by Coreslab in only four days. This enabled the contractor to commence fitting out the rooms below and with the brickwork above almost immediately after they were installed.
