Judging 2010 CMA Awards entry form 2010 Entries

The entry form for this year’s Awards for Excellence competition (see below) can be either downloaded or printed off this page. Once filled in with your competition details, your entry forms should be delivered together with your photographs and project descriptions to the CMA’s Midrand premises no later than May 31st .

As the judging of this prestigious event will be based on photographic images, good quality prints should be submitted, portraying your projects to their best advantage. Details about print size, format and mounting, and tips on how to achieve good images can be found in the entry form. Budgets allowing, it is recommended that you use professional photographers for your images. Entries submitted with poor quality images stand very little chance of winning an award.

All entry photographs should be saved onto CD at a minimum size of 350 x 280mm and no smaller than 300dpi for press release purposes. Moreover, it is important that each photograph is clearly labelled with the project name and category code so that they can be easily linked to your entries.

The project descriptions which accompany the photography should motivate your entries clearly and concisely. This will also enhance your chances of winning an award.

The competition is not confined to CMA members and is open to all designers, developers, manufacturers or users of precast concrete products. There is no limit to the number of entries and they can be submitted by individuals, partnerships or companies in the following categories:

• Concrete Block Paving
• Concrete Roof Tiles
• Concrete Masonry
• Concrete Retaining Block Walls
• Suspended Concrete Floor Slabs
• Infrastructural Products

The Awards are based on three categories, Regional, National and Trophy. Regional award results will be presented at Regional functions towards the end of September and National/Trophy awards will be made during a gala dinner function in October.
